Crab Salad (Imitation Crab Meat Salad)
Ingredients
Dry Ingredients / Things that Need Chopping
- 1½ lbs Imitation Crab Meat (Broken apart with fork into bite size pieces)
- 1 cup Celery (Finely chopped)
- ½ cup Carrots (Optional finely sliced to match size of celery)
Dressing
- 1 cup Ranch Salad Dressing (Home made is the best)
- ½ cup Sour Cream
- ½ tsp Old Bay Seasoning
- ½ tsp Mustard Powder
- 1 tbsp Dried Parsley
- ⅛ tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1 tsp Stone Ground Mustard
Add To Taste
- ¼ tsp Pepper Pepper to taste
- ¼ tsp Salt Salt to taste
Instructions
- Combine the dressing ingredients listed above in a large mixing bowl and mix them thoroughly.
- Gently fold in the crab meat, carrots, and celery. The carrots are optional. I like the added crunch and color.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Refrigerate at least 2 hours prior to serving.
Notes
My husband loves crab salad. This recipe started off as his and then I tweaked it just a little. You can eat this by itself or as a dip with chips or crackers. Or have yourself a crab salad sub sandwich. Cooking is an art. Experiment with this recipe and let me know you change or add.
